Kendra Rose - Consultant
Kendra Rose proudly hails from Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Lahser High School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Family and Child Studies in Child Development from Gallaudet University in Washington D.C.
Rose has held many titles. She was selected as Kappa Sigma’s Sweetheart in 2003-2004 and again in 2004-2005. At Gallaudet University, Rose was Homecoming Mistress of Ceremonies in 2003. In 2004, she was Sorority Greek Queen. And then in 2005, Rose was crowned Homecoming Queen. In September, 2005, she won the 3rd runner up title in the Miss Deaf Michigan Pageant.
In 2006, she became the Assistant Director for the Junior Miss Deaf Michigan Pageant.
She was a manager for Gallaudet University’s football team, a Gallaudet University cheerleader, and an assistant coach for the Model Secondary School for the Deaf’s Cheerleading team in 2005. She is also a member of the Delta Epsilon Sorority.
Rose currently substitute teaches at Bloomfield Hills Schools and mentors a Deaf client.
Rose plans to continue her education, and pursue a Master’s Degree in Deaf Education and American Sign Language in California, summer 2007.
She also loves traveling, outdoor adventures, and dancing.
A Pageant First
The first Miss Deaf Teen Michigan, Karlee Gruetzner and Mr. Deaf Teen Michigan, Ray McCall will compete in the Mr. and Miss Teen Deaf America Pageant at Model Secondary School for the Deaf in Washington, D.C. on March 5-8th.

On April 6th, 2007 the Miss Deaf Michigan Pageant Association launched their new website design.
