Favorite color: Blue.

Favorite Sport: Basketball.

Hobbies: Going out to mall and to the movies, going to church, dancing, acting and chatting.

Favorite foods: Soul food, Italian food, Greek food, and Mexican food.

Favorite place to shop: Great Lake Crossing, any store when I see something that I like - I buy it.

Pets' names: N/A.

Best friends: Tia Dorsette and Teddy Dorsette.

Favorite teachers: Mrs. Dees and Ms. Wagner.

 

Family: Mom-Ginnene, Dad-Clinton, Sister-Lynne (all of them are Deaf.) What I love about my family is that we all are a very close, caring, and loving family.

Favorite subject in school: Math.

Favorite television shows: Lifetime movies.

Favorite actor/actress: Actor-Martin Lawrence; Actress-Angela Basset.

Dream vacation: Jamaica .

Travels: I have been to Chicago and learned about history, Indiana, Virginia, Washington, D.C. where I learned more about history; Delaware, Massachusetts, New York, Canada, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. The states I have enjoyed are Washington , D.C. ; Ohio , New York , and Canada .

Favorite Quote: "All of things are possible".

Motto/Principle to live by: "All things, whatsoever you believe, you should receive" and "For we should live by faith, not by sight".

Where I want to be 5 years from now: I plan to live somewhere in the south, be married, travel and have a happy and blessed life and be a successful career/business woman.

Most embarrassing moment: When I was at my old friend's house to chat and eat dinner, I was going to the table to eat. I thought there was a chair behind me, but it was a little farther behind me and I was about to sit down, but I fell on my butt and my head on the floor. It was painful! I was so humiliated. 4 or 5 of my friends were laughing at me but helped me up.

My role models: My parents.

A Pageant First

July 28, 2007 will be the first time in history that Michigan will crown a Deaf Teen Queen.

The first teen pageant will be held at Kalamazoo State Theatre directed by Kendra Rose and Jamie Maes.

Contestants range from ages 13 to 17 and attend Michigan School for the Deaf or mainstreamed highs schools in the state of Michigan.

On April 6th, 2007 the Miss Deaf Michigan Pageant Association launched their new website design.

On our new site we've made it easy for you to access information. Site features include, color themed categories for Miss, Teen and Junior sections.

We've also added a Flash Image Gallery of all of our previous photo archives.
